■ Check the motor rotation direction. If incorrect, reverse
the wires on connector J13.
■ With the power source off, temporarily disconnect
the wire feeder motor (25) terminals from connector
J13 on panel board (48) and make sure the resistance
between the motor terminals left free. Correct value =
approximately 2 ÷ 4 ohm (motor winding resistance). If
0 ohm (short circuit) replace wire feeder motor (25) and
check integrity of mosfet M2, M3, RL1 relay, resistors
R83, R85, R79, R80 and diodes D16 and D17 on panel
board (48) (see Connectors map, par. 5.8).
■ Replace wire feeder motor (25) and/or panel board (48).
ENCODER POWER SUPPLY TEST.
□ Panel board (48), connector J4, terminals 1(+) - 4(-),
voltage = +5 Vdc.
ENCODER TEST.
□ With power source off, temporarily disconnect J4 from
the panel board (48) and check resistance between ter-
minals of the patch connector disconnected from J4:

20 Kohm approx.
If short-circuited, replace motor (25) and panel board
(48). If >Mohm replace the motor (25).
3.3.8

Open circuit output voltage not regular.

OPEN CIRCUIT OUTPUT VOLTAGE TEST.
□ Output terminals C(+) and D(-) on power source = ap-
proximately +60 Vdc (on art. 323 depending on polari-
ty reverser position), with start button pressed.
NO
♦ Regular operation.
T4
TRANSFORMER
VOLTAGE TEST.
□ Power board (45), VITE1 terminal(gnd) and T4 power
transformer secondary circuit end terminal (on printed
circuit) = Fig. 5.4.2, open-circuit voltage on T4 power
transformer secondary side, with start button pressed.
NO
♦ Make sure that in the wiring between termi-
nals VITE1 and VITE2 on power board (45),
polarity reverser (art. 323) and power source
output terminals C and D are not short cir-
cuits or isolation losses towards ground. If
you find loose connections, tighten and re-
place any damaged components.

♦ Check the conditions of the secondary diodes
group (see Fig. 2.3.1, 2.3.2), inductor L3 and
the corresponding connections on the power
board (45) printed circuit (for inspection re-
move the ventilation tunnel on power board
(45)).
♦ Check the conditions of the T4 power trans-
former on power board (45). If you notice
burn signs or deformities, replace it.
♦ Replace power board (45).
■ Check the wiring between J4 INV board on power
board (45) and J1 panel board (48).
■ Check correct fixing and connections cleaning of the
INV board on power board (45) J6 (J8 on art. 324) con-
nector.
■ Check condition of the inverter power components
(U1, U2, U3, U4, etc.) on power board (45).
■ Replace power (45) and/or panel (48) boards.
3.3.9
Output voltage on resistive load operation not
regular.
OPEN CIRCUIT OUTPUT VOLTAGE TEST.
□ Output terminals C(+) and D(-) on power source = ap-
proximately +60 Vdc (on art. 323 depending on polari-
ty reverser position), with start button pressed.
YES
Correct?
♦ Carry out the test in par. 3.3.8.
NOTE
For the following tests use a resistive load capable of with-
standing the maximum power source current. The appro-
priate values are shown in the table.
