BOARD (48) POWER SUPPLY TEST, of
par. 3.3.1.
♦ Replace panel board (48).
■ Check integrity of the components inserted on the start
line between J3, J6 and Q1 on the panel board (48) (see
Connectors map, par. 5.8).
■ Replace panel board (48).
3.3.5

Some signals from H connector do not work.

♦ Check the wiring between J3 and J14 of panel
board (48), connector H and accessory con-
nected to connector H.
♦ Check supply voltages of the power (45) and
panel (48) boards, performing the tests of par.
3.3.1.
♦ Replace panel board (48).
■ Replace panel board (48).

NO
3.3.6

No gas flows from the torch.

NOTE
On power sources art. 323 and 324 the Test Gas command
is absent.
The solenoid valve (36) is activated with the start com-
mand, which also activates the inverter operation.
If within 3 s from the start command the current gener-
ation doesn't start (welding beginning), the control deac-
tivates the solenoid valve (36) and keeps in function both
the inverter and the wire feeder motor, to allow the thread-
ing function.
SOLENOID VALVE (36) TEST.
□ Solenoid valve (36) terminals = 24 Vdc approximately,
with start button pressed.
NO
Correct?
♦ Make sure on solenoid valve (36) termi-
nals resistance = 56 ohm, approximately. If
>Mohm (winding interrupted), replace the
solenoid valve (36).
♦ Check for the presence of gas at the intake
fitting E and that the pressure and flow rate,
in the intake line, meet specification values.
♦ Make sure the gas lines in the power source
are not clogged.
♦ Replace the solenoid valve (36).
■ Check the wiring between solenoid valve (36) and con-
nector J8 on panel board (48).
■ Make sure on solenoid valve (36) terminals resistance
= 56 ohm, approximately. If 0 ohm (short-circuit), re-
place solenoid valve (36) and check the efficiency of
the mosfet M1 and diode D14 on panel board (48).
■ Check integrity of the components inserted on the sole-
noid valve (36) command line (R61, R67, M1, D14) on
panel board (48) (see Connectors map, par. 5.8).
■ Check supply voltage on J15 of panel board (48) per-
forming, if necessary, the MOTOR POWER SUPPLY
TEST, par. 3.3.7.
■ Replace power (45) and/or panel (48) boards.
■ Replace solenoid valve (36).
YES
