Error codes.

3.4.1

-02- EEprom error.

Block due to user data memory writing error.
Replace panel board (48).
3.4.2 -06- Communication error detected by panel
board (48).
3.4.3 -09- Communication error detected by INV
board on power board (45).
Communication error between panel board (48) and INV
board on power board (45).
Check the wiring between and J4 INV board on power
board (45) and J1 on panel board (48).
Check correct fixing and connections cleaning of the INV
board, on power board (45) J6 (J8 on art. 324) connector.
Replace panel (48) and/or power (45) boards.
3.4.4 -10- "Inverter fault" on display A. Missing volt-
age and current at power source output.
Upon power source start-up the control checks the
operating conditions by performing a brief test to generate
the open-circuit output voltage.
While this is taking place it is important that the torch not
touch the workpiece or welding bench.
The following conditions may be detected during this test:
− output voltage present and output current present =
error 54;
− output voltage present and output current absent =
correct operation;
− output voltage absent and output current present =
error 54;
− output voltage absent and output current absent =
error 10.
Error 10 indicates that at the power source start-up, or
with inverter running, the circuits for detecting the output
voltage and output current, on power board (45), detect
voltage = 0 and current = 0.
This situation is possible only with the inverter broken
(thus it does not generate the alternating voltage on the
primary circuit of the T4 power transformer) or with one
or both voltage and current detection lines interrupted.
Perform the "open circuit operation" tests in par. 3.3.8 and
the "operation on resistive load" tests in par. 3.3.9.
Make sure the presence of the three phases of the mains
voltage (see note to par. 3.4.14, error 61).

3.4.5 -14- "Undervoltage" on display A. Inverter igbt
driver supply voltage error.
Perform the CONTROL POWER SUPPLY TEST, in par.
3.3.1, paying special attention to the 15 Vdc and 5 Vdc
voltages.
Make sure the presence of the three phases of the mains
voltage (see note to par. 3.4.14, error 61).
3.4.6 -25- INV board on power board (45) EPLD bus
malfunction.
This code calls up various problems that may occur in
controlling the igbt inverter.
Generally they are those defects that cause a high absorbed
current in the primary circuit of the T4 power transformer,
due for example to a short-circuit in the windings of the T4
transformer or in the secondary diodes group.
For an analysis of the problem, see "open circuit opera-
tion", par. 3.3.8 and "operation on resistive load", par. 3.3.9.
3.4.7 -30- Minimum current threshold incorrect set-
ting.
MINIMUM CURRENT THRESHOLD SETTING.
□ (art. 323) Power board (45), connectors J3-B(-) and
J8-2(+) = +360 mVdc, +/- 10 mVdc with power source
powered but not delivering current.
□ (art. 324) Power board (45), connectors J5-B(-) and
J10-2(+) = +360 mVdc, +/- 10 mVdc with power source
powered but not delivering current.
YES Correct?
♦ (art. 323) With power source off, temporari-
ly disconnect J8 from power board (45) and
check the resistance on terminals J3-B and
J8-2 on power board (45). Corrected value
= 25 ohm. If incorrect, replace power board
(45).
♦ (art. 324) With power source off, temporari-
ly disconnect J10 from power board (45) and
check the resistance on terminals J5-B and
J10-2 on power board (45). Corrected value =
22.5 ohm. If incorrect, replace power board
(45).
♦ Adjust trimmer TR1 on INV board on power
board (45) to have 360 mVdc +/- 10 mV.
♦ Replace the power board (45) and/or current
transducer (58).
■ Regular setting, replace power board (45).
