7 Fitting Advice

The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
Symptom
A recurring noise occurs at the interface.
The adapter moves out of position.

8 Socket Lamination Procedure

The instructions in this section are for practitioner use only.
Prior to lamination:
• Prior to shaping the prongs to suit the socket shape, turn back (unscrew) the 4-Prong
Adapter a quarter of a turn to allow for adjustment of rotational alignment in the laminated
socket
• Take care when shaping the prongs to suit the socket shape
• When shaping the prongs, ensure that the Blatchford M30 Male Adapter is fully engaged
and that the Cap Screw is tightened
The lay up should be appropriate for the weight and activity of the user of the device.

Note... Remove the Adapter Plug after socket lamination.
Solution
The Cap Screw must be tightened. Apply
Loctite and tighten to the correct torque
setting.
Check for signs of lamination failure.
Advise the user they must not use the device
until adjusted, repaired or replaced.
Inspect device. If components are warn or
damaged, then remove and replace with new
components. Reposition as necessary and
retighten as per Construction section.
