"Pumping" charging method
After pressure equalization following the overflow pro-
cess:
 Pump using the lever.
 Watch the pressure gauge (M1 and M2): maximum
charging pressure 220 bar.
 After charging, close the gas cylinder valve.
 Close the outlet valve (2).
 Slowly open the relief valve (3).
 Disconnect the charged gas cylinder.
 Connect the empty gas cylinder.
 Repeat the overflow and pumping process.
 To complete the charging process, close the valves
of the gas cylinder and the storage cylinder(s).
 Depressurize all components (relief valves 3 and 4),
disconnect the cylinders and screw the protective
caps onto the pump connections.
 Close all valves.

Cascade connection

For the cascade connection, all storage cylinders must
be charged with 200 bar.
1 Overflow from storage cylinder 1.
2 Pump from storage cylinder 1 until the final pressure
is reached (220 bar).
If the pressure in storage cylinder 1 falls below
110 bar:
1 Overflow from storage cylinder 1.
2 Pump from storage cylinder 1 until a pressure of
110 bar is reached.
3 Overflow from storage cylinder 2.
4 Pump from storage cylinder 2 until the final pressure
is reached (220 bar).
If the pressure falls to 55 bar in storage cylinder 1
and to 110 bar in storage cylinder 2 after further
charging:
1 Overflow from storage cylinder 1.
2 Overflow from storage cylinder 2.
3 Pump from storage cylinder 2 until a pressure of
220 bar is reached.
Execute the overflow process until the pressure has fall-
en to
10 bar in storage cylinder 1 and
55 bar in storage cylinder 2.
20
If the pressure in storage cylinder 1 falls to 10 bar:
Replace the storage cylinder with a charged cylinder
(200 bar).
This charged cylinder now takes on the role of
storage cylinder 2.
Storage cylinder 2 becomes storage cylinder 1.
Now continue charging until the pressure in the next
storage cylinder has fallen to 10 bar, this storage cylin-
der is replaced with a charged cylinder and takes on the
role of storage cylinder 2, etc.
NOTICE
Never empty storage cylinders below 10 bar residual
pressure.
Accident prevention when using
high-pressure hoses
The high-pressure charging hoses must be intact. Only
use checked charging hoses that are suitable for the
gas. High-pressure hoses for oxygen must be kept free
from oil and grease. Oil, grease and other materials
that are not suitable for use with oxygen, can deflagrate
in combination with oxygen and lead to serious injury.
Damage to fittings must be avoided. Damaged fittings
can burst and lead to serious injury.
Never connect high-pressure hoses to the booster
pump without having cylinders attached. The hose can
flap when gas escapes at the free end, resulting in
a risk of injury.
Do not move the hose when it is under pressure.

After use

NOTICE
Make sure that the lever retainer is located at the right-
hand side when packing the pump into the transport
container.
