Commissioning the unit

8.1 Before starting work

Make sure that the surface on which the device is placed is at least as large as the device and is not
inclined by more than 10° from the horizon. HEBUmedical recommends placing the device on a trolley
which is provided by the company.
Check, that the cooling openings are not blocked on the lower device side and the air can circulate
freely.

8.2 Installation of the unit

Mains connection
•
Connect mains cable
•
Connect the device to the mains only with the delivered mains cable or with a cable of the same
quality, which has the required sign for passed test from the national legislation.
•
Connect the device with the yellow – green earthing cable on the earth socket (8), which is
located besides the mains supply socket.
•
Ensure that there are no other connections and switch it on with the On /Off switch in the lower
right corner of the front of the device to check if it lights up. Then switch the device off again.
Foot switch
The foot switches used are of 2 types:
•
Double- foot switch: The yellow section is used to activate cutting and the blue section control
coagulation.
•
Single-foot switch: blue section – for coagulation.
The connection of both foot switches occurs by the socket (9) for the foot switch on the backplate of
the device.
Auto-test when switching on

and that the active electrodes do not have contact with the patient, a
third person or with a conductive material, before each switch-on.
Switch-on the device. You can hear an original message on the LCD Panel the welcome page is
displayed and the auto-test is carried out.
The device can only be installed and used in rooms for medical
purpose according to its specification.
Only Persons who are trained by the manufacturer or by the
suppliers and who use the device correctly according to the
instructions, are allowed to work with the device.
Do not put vessels with liquids on or next to the device.
Caution: Make sure that all connections are connected correctly
