Dear Customer, thank you for choosing a KaWe product. Our
examination lights feature powerful LEDs. They comply with
the provisions of Directive (EU) 2017/745 (European Medical
Device Directive) and, according to this Directive, are classifi ed
as Class I medical products.
Please read and follow this User's Manual, and keep it
in case you need to read it again. Before use, thoroughly
read the maintenance procedure and follow the care
instructions.
In case of uncertainty about the connection or maintenance of
the device, please contact the customer service (see the
manufacturer's address on the back).
KaWe off ers the following examination light models:

2. Purpose and intended use

The MASTERLIGHT examination lights are designed to aid
treatment and diagnosis in a hospital or medical offi ce. They
illuminate the work area and the patient's body with a shadow-
free, "cold" high power light.

• This product should only be used by authorized trained
personnel!
Compliance with all instructions in this User's Manual as well as
important regulations and standards also applies to the
intended use. Any other use is not intended; therefore, the
manufacturer is not liable for any damage resulting from such
use!

3. Safety instructions / contraindications

• This device is not designed for use in explosion hazardous
areas!
• These devices are examination lights in accordance with EN
60601-2-41, which are not fail-safe free-standing lighting
devices.
• Protect the examination light from moisture!
• The light must only be mounted on a stand!
• Before installation, leave the device in the packaging for at
least 24 hours in a suitable room to compensate for
temperature changes.
• The socket used must be installed in accordance with the
requirements of IEC or VDE 0100-710.
