7. Hitch installation – (a) raise the hitch into position and hang it on the studs on the bumper end panel. Torque (4) factory flange nuts to
the middle studs each side. Tighten CL 10 fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M). (b) Reinstall the bumper beam to the
hitch and bumper end panel. Loosely secure the rest of factory flange nuts to the bumper beam. See Figure 1. Tighten rest of CL 10
fasteners with torque wrench to 42 Lb.-Ft. (57 N*M). (c) Use cable ties ① to reattach the sensor to hitch center section, see Figure 1
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
