4. Trunk panel removal – (a) open the hatch and remove the interior carpet liner. (b) use plastic trim tools to loosen the weather stripping around the center trunk panel. Detach
the center trunk panel from (4) snap clips by pulling it upward. (c) detach curved plastic trunk panel near taillight from (2) snap clips by pulling it towards the center of the trunk
each side. (d) behind the carpet liner, temporarily peel off the rectangular adhesive rubber tape both sides. Use 10 mm socket with extension to remove (1) flange nut from the
stud on the back of end panel both sides, see Figure 4.
