OPERATING INSTRUCTION
POWER INSTRUCTIONS
The treadmill must be grounded. If the unit malfunctions or breaks, grounding provides a
path of least resistance to electric current, which reduces the risk of electric shock. The unit
comes equipped with a suitable power cord with a grounding wire for the equipment and a
plug with a ground pin. Only bipolar-type plugs with ground contact (2P + T 20A in
accordance with NBR 14136) will be accepted. It is not acceptable to use any type of adapter
for outlets without a ground pin. Outlets must always be installed in appropriate boxes which
do not allow their poles (of the outlet) to be exposed. All outlets must be connected to the
grounding pin. It is totally unacceptable to use the neutral wire (when included in the
installation) short-circuited to the ground wire.
ATTENTION!
Improper connection of the equipment grounding wire may result in a risk of
electric shock. Consult a qualified professional or maintenance personnel if you do
not know if the unit is properly grounded. Do not replace the original treadmill
plug.
If it does not fit the outlet, obtain a suitable outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
CAUTION!
According to NBR 5410, a thermomagnetic protection circuit breaker with the
following characteristics must be provided at the specific outlet where the
equipment will be connected:
•Circuit breaker: 25 Amperes - ACTIVATION CURVE B - For 220v networks.
•Circuit Breaker: 32 Amperes - ACTIVATION CURVE B - For 220v networks for 3hp
motor
The circuit breaker has the function of protecting the equipment in case of an
electrical breakdown that causes a dangerous increase in the electric current.
NOTE: THE BREAKER INSTALLATION MUST BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE NBR 5410
STANDARD, WHICH IS MANDATORY FOR LOW VOLTAGE INSTALLATIONS.
INSTALLATION IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE INSTALLER AND THE USER.
