1. Attach the injection pump (1) which is to be tested to
the matching fastening parts on the mounting rail (2).
2. Clamp the coupling half (3) of the injection pump (1)
between the clamping jaws of the non-floating drive
coupling (4).
Always observe the tightening torques for
the fastening parts and coupling halves (see
Chapter 8 Tightening torques).
The T-bar (7) used to rotate the flywheel
6) by hand must not be left inserted in the
locating holes of the flywheel!
The ISO drive coupling is a safety compo-
nent of the EPS. The ISO drive coupling may
therefore only be repaired by the relevant
Bosch service.
3. When the main switch (10) is ON, the frequency
converter is connected to the mains by pressing the
ON/OFF switch (8). The calibration-fluid supply is
switched on simultaneously.
4. The drive motor is switched to standby (controller
enable) by pressing the ON/OFF switch (9).

Warning: Risk of trapping in rotating parts!
Clothing, jewellery or hair can become caught
up in rotating parts and result in serious
injury.
Keep well away from rotating and moving
parts.
Cover rotating parts.
Keep hands away from rotating parts.
!
The speed of the injection-pump test bench can be
adjusted only in conjunction with a measuring sys-
tem (MGT or KMA)
!
Ensure that there is a gap of approx. 1 mm between
the drive coupling (4) and the drive half (3) of the
injection pump (1).
!
Tighten the tensioning bolt (5) with a torque wrench
only when the clamping jaws are in a horizontal
position. This ensures that the two couplings are
connected parallel to each other and that the multi-
plates do not wear out prematurely.
Always observe the tightening torques for
the tensioning bolts (5) (see Chapter 8
Tightening torques), otherwise an operator
could be injured and/or the machine dam-
aged. Also observe the 12.9 strength class
for the tensioning bolt (5).
5. If in-line fuel injection pumps are used, connect
calibration-fluid supply line (12) and calibration-fluid
return line (13) to the designated connections on the
injection pump.
6. Connect the line for supplying the test oil to the ap-
propriate port on the injection pump.
