Adjusting the material guidance
(Figure 3 + 4).
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the power plug from the socket outlet.
The drum (28) is equipped with three optional
guiding elements which are to be used depend-
ing on the work piece:
– Guide rail (plastic) for light metal pipes to
90 mm Ø.
– Guide rail (brass) for steel pipes to 90 mm Ø.
– Guide roller for pipes greater than 60 mm Ø.
Move the drum (28) all the way down with
the crank (7).
Move out the feed unit by turning with the
crank (13) until the drum (28) can be freely
accessed.
Pull the lock (29) out of the drum and turn
the requested guide element upward.
Allow the lock (29) to engage again.
Adjusting the pipe diameter
(Figure 1).
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the power plug from the socket outlet.
Insert the work piece to be ground.
Adjust the guide element with the crank (7)
to the scale value (8) that corresponds with
the pipe diameter (see table (9) on the
instruction label of the machine).
Table (adjustment examples, see Fig. 4):
1. column: Pipe diameter
2. column: Adjustment setting, guide rail
3. column: Adjustment setting, guide roller
Insert the work piece with the machine
switched off.
Adjust the clearance between the brake
wheel (21) and the work piece with the
crank (13) in such a manner that a gap of
approx. 10 mm results.
Check if the brake wheel is facing parallel.
Remove the work piece out of the machine
before switching on.
Adjusting the guide rail/guide roller
(Figure 3).
Before any work on the machine itself, pull
the power plug from the socket outlet.
After prolonged use, the parallelism of the guide
rail/guide roller must be checked and readjusted,
if required:
Loosen screws (25)/(26) and (27).
Align the guide element parallel to the con-
tact pulley (22) and tighten the screws again.
Switching ON and OFF.
Do not switch the machine on until all
required adjustments have been carried out.
Make sure that no work piece is inserted in
the machine.
Before switching on/off, the cover (19)
must be closed. An integrated safety switch
ensures that the machine can not be
switched on when the cover is open!
Emergency OFF pushbutton:
In emergency situations, press the red emer-
gency OFF pushbutton to switch the
machine off.
On/Off switch, grinding belt (1)
Set the switch to position "1".
Check the rotation direction of the brake
wheel.
Selector switch, belt speed (3)
Set the switch to position "1" (low speed,
low material removal) or position "2"
(high speed, high material removal).
On/Off switch, brake wheel (2)
Set the switch to position "1".
On/Off switch, coolant pump (4)
Set the switch to position "1". The coolant
pump must always be switched on for high
material removal.
