2. General Device Description for the Pressure, Level,
and Temperature Controller Family
With your purchase of a switch from the controller family, you have cho-
sen a high-quality product with excellent reliability. The switch features a
large four-digit display which shows the actual, lowest or highest saved
value.
The moveable housing allows the display to be adjusted and read from
different directions. The configuration of parameters, using three buttons,
is menu-driven and self-explanatory. Parameters can be password pro-
tected to avoid unauthorised changes.
Two independently-programmable switching outputs and one program-
mable analogue output are available for connecting to electrical control-
lers. In addition, each switching output has two switching points with
which the activation and shut-off temperatures can be set as required
(variable hysteresis). The switching outputs are switched in accordance
with the preset switching points, hysteresis or window functions. The sta-
tus display shows whether they are normally open or normally closed.
The digital display shows malfunctions, which can then be processed
in accordance with DESINA specifications. The electronics are resistant
against moisture and vibration. They are also protected against polariza-
tion faults, overvoltage, and short circuits.
