INSTALLATION OF THE WATER SUPPLY
BEFORE YOU START
The installation of the water line is not covered by
the manufacturer of the refrigerator or ice cube
machine. Follow these recommendations careful-
ly to minimize the risk of costly water damage.
Water that sounds like a hammer in the pipes can
damage some parts of the refrigerator and also
cause leaks or flooding. Call a qualified technician
to fix plumbing problems before installing the
water supply in the refrigerator.
To prevent burns and damage to the appliance,
do not connect it to the hot water outlet.
If you use the refrigerator before the water
connection is installed on the ice maker, set the
refrigerator operating switch to the O (off)
position.
Do not install the ice maker tube in places where
the temperature could fall below freezing.
When using an electrical device (such as a drill)
during installation, make sure the device is electri-
cally isolated or connected so that there is no
danger of electrical shock.
All installations must comply with current
standards for plumbing work. The installation of
the automatic ice maker must be carried out by a
qualified technician.
Use the new hose-set supplied with the refrigera-
tor. Old hose-sets must not be reused.

NOTES:
• Before connecting to the refrigerator, make
sure that the cable is not plugged into the wall
outlet.
• If your water supply contains sand or
particles that could clog the refrigerator water
valve, we recommend that you install a water
filter. Install it in the refrigerator's water pipe.
1. Turn off the water supply.
2. Connect the molded end to the water inlet of
the refrigerator.
3. Tighten the nut by hand, then turn an
additional turn with a wrench (DO NOT
OVER-tighten).
4. Connect the plastic water line adapter to the
household water line. Tighten by hand, then
turn an additional quarter turn. (DO NOT OVER-
TIGHTEN AS THIS WILL DAMAGE THE SEAL).
5. Turn on the water supply. If leaks appear,
tighten connections further.
