Inserting the battery
CAUTION
Risk of injury by short circuit or falling battery!
▶ Before inserting the battery, make sure that the contacts on the battery and the contacts on the product
are free of foreign matter.
▶ Make sure that the battery always engages correctly.
1. Charge the battery fully before using it for the first time.
2. Push the battery into the battery holder until it engages with an audible click.
3. Check that the battery is seated securely.

Switching on the scanning tool
1. Press the
button.
2. The 'Accept disclaimer' message appears on the display. You must accept the terms of this notice
shown in order to operate the scanning tool.
Outside the operating temperature range, a fault message is displayed and the scanning tool
automatically switches off. Allow the scanning tool to cool down or warm up, as appropriate, and
then switch it on again.

Starting for the first time
1. Insert the battery. → page 18
2. Switch on the scanning tool. → page 18
3. When you start a brand new product for the first time, the 'First startup settings' screen appears. Select
the appropriate settings.
▶ This prompt will not re-appear after you have selected your settings.
You can change 'Date / Time' and 'Country settings' at any time in the 'Settings' menu.

Touchscreen
The PS 300 has a touchscreen that responds to different touch inputs:
•
Tap to select.
•
Fingertip-touch and wipe to browse.
•
Fingertip-touch and do not remove to access additional menus.
•
Touch the screen with the tips of two fingers close together and move your fingers apart to zoom in.
To zoom out, touch the screen with the tips of two fingers spread apart and move your fingers closer
together.
To go back one screen page, use the
