6 Disassembling the defective AC power controller
assembly
1. Depending on the version, remove the Power
Balancer cable either from the pin connector or the
screw terminal on the OCS assembly.
2. Remove the ribbon cable from the OCS assembly.
3. If present, remove the data cable from the OCS assembly. To do so, note the terminal
assignment, open every screw terminal and remove the conductor from the terminal.

Damage to the assembly due to mechanical strain
If the assembly is excessively bent, solder contacts, components and conducting paths may
snap.
• Carefully dismantle the assemblies. To do this, proceed as follows.
5. Reach behind the OCS assembly from above and unscrew the middle spacer until the top of
the OCS assembly can be easily moved forward.
6. Using a suitable tool (e.g. socket wrench [AF 4]), loosen the three bottom spacers in the OCS
assembly and carefully remove the OCS assembly from the AC power controller assembly by
moving it forward.
7. Unscrew the three bottom spacers and store them safely.
