8. Attach the brass unions to the cut copper
lines:
A. Slip a brass ferrule (ring) into the large
end of one of the compression nuts. See
Figure 5.
B. Gently thread the nut with the ferrule
onto the union. Be sure the union bot-
toms out against the ferrule. See inset
drawing of Figure 5.
C. Push the copper tubing into the small end
of the compression nut as far as it will go
(about 1/2").
D. Tighten the unions with a wrench.

9. Cut the poly tubing into two pieces.
10. Attach a tubing assembly to each of the
ends of the poly tubing:
A. Take the end of one of the pieces of poly
tubing and slide a brass compression nut
over the end (small end first). See Figure 6.
B. Slide a white plastic compression sleeve
(large end first) over the end of the tub-
ing and into the nut.
C. Place a brass insert inside the end of the
tubing.
D. Connect the tubing assembly at the four
locations as shown in Figure 7.
NOTICE: The poly tubing will wear with
time. Replace tubing if necessary.
