ON/OFF
By interfacing the unit to an external device with
a two-wire connection it is possible to have a
continuous digital enabling signal that the ex-
ternal device, if it is designed to receive it, can
use to synchronise its ON-OFF with that of the
ventilation unit.

- Post treatment with Hydronic coil
"
"
It is possible to interface the ventilation
unit with a motorised ON-OFF valve, pow-
ered independently by the ventilation unit,
equipped with SSR relay and mounted on a
preheating water-operated 2-pipe coil with
seasonal change-over of the heat transfer fluid.
Based on the temperatures read by the power
board on the fresh air and on the return air circuit,
it is possible to operate the relay via the digital
enabling signal (connector 3-4), so that the valve
is open or closed in heating and/ or cooling.
The ducted hydronic post-treatment coil and the
relative valve are not provided as an accessory and
must be supplied by third parties.
The ventilation unit power board enables the
post-heating or post-cooling logic according to
the measured fresh air temperature (t1):
If t1<tINV, post-heating is activated

If t1<tEST, post-cooling is activated

The valve is physically opened by the ventilation
unit control when the winter or summer air con-
ditioning temperature setpoint on the return
air circuit is not reached, and is closed when it is
reached:
If t3< tHEA -0.7°C

- Pre-treatment with Hydronic coil
"
"
It is possible to interface the ventilation unit with a
motorised ON-OFF valve, powered independently
by the ventilation unit, equipped with SSR relay
and mounted on a preheating water-operated
coil.
Based on the temperatures read by the mother-
board on the fresh air and exhaust air circuit, it is
possible to operate the relay by using the digital
signal, so that the valve is open or closed to use
a ducted pre-treatment hydronic coil with anti-
freeze function.
The ducted hydronic pre-treatment coil and the
relative valve are not provided as an accessory and
must be supplied by third parties.
In this case the "PrE" setting needs to be combined
with the specific configuration of the "HEAt" menu
(Valve opening logic in "Frost" table on page 46)

• FREE-COOLING FUNCTION
From the user screen, it is possible to activate
the free-cooling mode associated to machine
operation at the project flow rate with a single
intake flow.
This type of operation is recommended during
summer nights when the outside temperature
is suitable for light and prolonged cooling of the
indoor spaces.
The outside air is extracted, filtered, released into
the room and can be discharged naturally by
opening a window, located far from the sleeping
area, as long as it can be reached by the intake
flow.
The free-cooling mode is not recommended when
summer air conditioning systems are activated.
ATTENTION!: the free-cooling mode re-
quires opening a window, so that the fresh
air introduced can go through the house
without creating overpressure or passive recircu-
lation in the extraction circuit of the machine.
