3. Operating instructions
a) Make sure the voltage marked on the heater corresponds with the one available from
the main supply.
b) Connect the heater to the power supply. For certain markets the correct plug might
have to be attached in order to it the electrical socket.
c) Set the thermostat to the required temperature. Recommended temperature for
bearings is 110 °C (230 °F).
d) Turn the unit on by pressing the ON/OFF switch. Main pilot lamp will light up.
e) The second pilot lamp is lit while the hot plate is being heated but switches off as soon
as the selected temperature has been reached.
f) The temperature of the hot plate will remain within 10 °C (18 °F) of the selected
value.
4. Safety features
For increased safety the SKF hot plate is equipped with overheating protection. This will
automatically switch off the power in case of thermostat failure.
