5. Contraindications:
• If you suffer from existing skin allergies to the mate-
rials used, please consult your doctor before use.
• Use the shoes only if partial load is manageable.
• In the case of significant foot deformities, a ready-to-
wear post-op shoe is not suitable.
6. Material characteristics:
• Upper material: Nolen with polyurethane padding
layers/textiles
• Lining material: Velor
• Footbed: Ethylene vinyl acetate (Multiform)
• Outer sole: Ethylene vinyl acetate
The materials for the lining and footbed are the same for
all models.
7. Cleaning and care instructions:
Before the first use
• The attached Velcro fasteners are kept very long, so
that they can be adapted and shortened individually to
each patient. Therefore, please have the Velcro fasteners
shortened by specialist personnel.
Cleaning
• When dirty, the post-op shoes can be machine-washed
at 30°C on a gentle cycle. Leave the shoes to air-dry.
Disinfection
• If necessary, you can clean the lining material with a
damp cloth.
• We recommend a disinfectant that may be used with
open wounds to clean the lining. Seek advice from your
doctor or pharmacist on this point.
Drying
• Never put wet or damp shoes near a direct heat source
to dry.
• Please avoid using radiators and direct sunlight to dry
the shoes.
• Give your shoe time to dry. This can take up to two days,
depending on the moisture penetration.
Storage
• Please store shoes dry and at room temperature.
8. Disposal:
• Disposal of the product and packaging must be car-
ried out in accordance with statutory provisions.
9. General information / maintenance:
• The post-op shoes are a medical device. Your doctor
determines the wearing period, which must be
adhered to.
• We recommend wearing the partial-relief shoes no
longer than three months and the surgical shoes no
longer than six months.
• Check the shoes regularly for functionality, wear and
tear or damage to the fasteners, soles, etc.
• In case of loss of function, wear and tear or damage,
you should no longer wear the shoes and should
consult your doctor or orthopaedic (shoe) technician.
The shoe must be replaced by a new one.
• We also recommend that you have a regular, suitable
check of your foot and your wound carried out.
10. Assembly instructions (specialist personnel):
• Remove the shoe fillers (e.g. paper) and adjust the
shoes.
• Shorten the Velcro straps to the appropriate indivi-
dual length for your customer.
• Insert the enclosed padded sole correctly into the
shoe.
• In the case of individual changes to the product,
please note that the medical aid must be permanently
marked with the label 'Custom-made product' .
11. Warranty:
• We grant the statutory warranty for use as intended.
