CAUTION!
Danger of fire during charging!
The charger heats up when charging.
There is a danger of fire if the charger is
placed on an inflammable surface and is
not adequately ventilated.

Always use the charger on a non-in-
flammable surface and in a non-
combustible environment.
1. Connect the rechargeable battery (01/1) and
charging unit (01/2, 01/A), as well as the
charging unit (01/3, 01/B) to the mains volt-
age. The charging process begins. The LED
on the charging unit lights green, the charge
status is displayed on the rechargeable bat-
tery.
2. Observe the charge status displays on the re-
chargeable battery. The charging process
takes approx. 2.5 hours until fully charged.
The charging process ends automatically
when the rechargeable battery is fully
charged.
3. Disconnect the rechargeable battery from the
charger (01/A) and the charger from the
mains voltage (01/B).

Inserting and pulling out the
rechargeable battery (02)
Inserting the rechargeable battery (02/a)
1. Push the rechargeable battery (02/1) into the
rechargeable battery slot (02/2) until it engag-
es.
Pulling out the rechargeable battery (02/b)
1. Press and hold the unlock button (02/3) on
the rechargeable battery (02/1).
2. Pull out the rechargeable battery (02/1).

Mounting the "Bike" handle (03)
1. Unscrew and remove the screws (03/1).
2. Take the upper half shell (03/2) off the lower
half shell (03/4).
3. Insert the "Bike" handle (03/3) into the lower
half shell.
4. Place on the upper half shell and lightly
screw in the screws.
5. Align the "Bike" handle in such a way (03/a)
that distance (03/A) is smaller than distance
(03/B).
Note: Always guide the trimmer to the right of
your body using the "Bike" handle. Both dis-
tances are correct when the middle of the

cutting head coincides with the middle of the
body.
6. Tighten the screws firmly.

Installing guard plate (04)
Attach the guard plate (04)
1. Insert (04/a) the guard plate (04/1) on the
cutter head (04/2).
2. Guide three screws (04/3) through the guard
plate (04/b) and screw into the holes (04/4).

Fitting/removing the blade (05)

Attach the cutting tools so that they
cannot come loose during operation.
Fitting the blade
1. If fitted: For removing the spool head, see
see chapter 4.6 "Removing/fitting the spool
head (06)", page 38.
2. Put the washer (05/3) and blade (05/1) onto
the drive shaft of the cutter head (05/2). The
inscription on the blade must point outwards,
i.e. away from the cutter head.
3. Push on the cover (05/4).
4. Put the locknut (05/5) onto the drive shaft and
firmly tighten by hand in a clockwise direction.
5. Firmly tighten the locknut (05/5) with the
combination spanner.
Removing the blade
1. Loosely turn the locknut (05/5) anti-clockwise
with the combination spanner. Use the retain-
ing pin for bracing.
2. Remove the locknut (05/5), the cover (05/4),
the blade (05/1) and the washer (05/3).
