REMOVING THE SADDLE

To remove your saddle or adjust its position: slacken the lower clamp screws (7b) by a few
turns.
Apply gentle pressure to the front and rear of the saddle alternately to release the seatpost
clamps. If they do not release due to excessive tightening, use a small mallet and gently
tap the head of screw (7b) with several threads still engaged in order to dislodge the
opposite corner.
FITTING THE SEATPOST IN THE FRAME
This seatpost fixing in the frame, which boasts two LOOK patents, offers benefits in the form
of positive downward location while absorbing vertical and transverse vibration, in addition to
allowing height adjustment. The E Post 2 is clamped by tightening a single screw with moderate
forces acting on the various parts. The overall mass of the assembly is thus contained.
CLAMPING
This highly efficient clamping only requires
to be tightened to a very low torque of 2 Nm
thanks to its ultra-light flexible fibre force
reduction system. This torque approximates
that applied when tightening with an Allen
key held by the short end (Fig. 10).
Warning:
Excessive tightening will not result
in any added comfort or grip. It will
damage the fibre irreparably and make
release more difficult.

RELEASE
The clamping shaft is secured using a ratchet
system. To remove your E Post 2:
1.
Press on the shaft with the Allen key.
You will then feel the clamping system
disengaging.
2.
Unscrew by around one turn while
maintaining the pressure on the key.
This will release the expansion system
and all you need do is pull the E Post 2
upwards to withdraw it from the frame.
Warning:
Never attempt to remove the E Post 2 by turning the clamping shaft as if slackening a
screw (without disengaging the ratchet). This would destroy the system!
Do not slacken more than necessary (approximately one turn) as the expansion system
could fall apart and impede seatpost withdrawal.

BATTERY MOUNTING
The E Post 2 boasts an integrated mounting
system for the Shimano SM-BTR2 battery
(8). To fit your battery, clip the battery into its
mounting 1 and fit the elastomer ring 2 around
the bottom groove in the battery.
