Serial n° - Serial number of the electric vibrator.
On the terminal box cover an adhesive label is mentioning the following
instructions:
WARNING - Do not open while energized. ATTENTION: Cable tempe-
rature near the cable entry: T4:105°C,T3:180°C.

3.1 INSTALLATION

3.1.1 INSTALLATION zONE
VV-E SERIES electric vibrators can ONLY be installed in potentially
explosive atmosphere related to the equipment category.
To assure the correct use of VV-E SERIES electric vibrators in the ri-
ght zone, the user has to have knowledge of the details in following
standards and laws:
European union
- EuROPEAN COMMuNITY DIRECTIVE 94/9/EC
- CENELEC EN 60079-14, 60079-10.
other than all Standards and Law for potentially explosive atmo-
spheres, of the country where the vibrator is used.

3.1.2 INSTALLATION ON VIBRATING MACHINE

Venanzetti Vibrazioni Milano vibrators can be installed in any po-
sition.
Ensure mounting surface and vibrator are clean and free of debris before
mounting. Mounting surface should be strong and flat (within /00 inch
(0.25 mm) across vibrator feet) to prevent internal stress to vibrator ca-
sting when thightening mount bolts.
The fixing bolts and relative nuts must be type 8.8 or more (DIN 93-933-
934), able to bear high driving torques. Use a torque wrench regulated as
indicated in Tables.

The bolt diameter must correspond to that indicated in the table, in rela-
tion to the vibrator in question.
It is also essential to check that the bolts are fully torqued. This is particu-
larly necessary during the initial operative period.
Remember that most damage and faults are due to irregular fixing
or badly performed tightening.
Re-control tightening after a brief functioning period.
It is recommended to fix the installed vibrator to a steel safety cable, with
opportune diameter and a length that will support the vibrator in the case
of its accidental detachment. Max. fall of 5 cm (6 inch.).

Attention: Do not carry out welding to the structure with the vibra-
tor mounted and connected. Welding could cause damage to win-
dings and bearings.
Warning: If installation is done in enclosed area, gas level or dust
content must be tested before welding. Welding in an area with gas
or dust may cause an explosion.
Attention: Use new bolts, lock nuts, and lock washers when
installing vibrator. Do not reuse old fasteners. Damage to vibrator
or structure could result.

3.2 ELECTRICAL CONNECTION

All wiring must be made in compliance with the National Standards
and with the Laws in force in the country of use, with particular
reference to the standards and legislations in force for explosive
environments (protection mode "e").
The wiring must be made by specialized electricians.
The wires making up the power supply cable used to connect the vibrator
to the network must have an adequate section so that the current density,
in each wire does not exceed 4 A/mm
for the connection of the vibrator to earth.
The section of the wires must also be adequate for the length of the cable
used so that a drop voltage along the cable is not caused that exceeds the
values prescribed by the regulation on this subject.

establish connections in accordance with legislation in force):

models
All vibrators starting from and including frame size MA are equip-
ped with a PTC 130°C thermistor (DIN 44081-44082). This thermi-
stor is accessible in the terminal box and can be connected to an
adequate control equipment for protection of the vibrator (Fig.6B
page 3).

IN ZONES 21 AND 22 (DUST EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERES) THE CON-
NECTION OF THE THERMISTOR TO AN APPROPRIATE CONTROL
EQuIPMENT IS MANDATORY.

3.3 TERMINAL BOARD WIRING DIAGRAMS

ATTENTION: A tropicalised screw, indicated with the earth symbol,
is situated in the terminal box and on the external surface. The
yellow-green (only green in the U.S.A.) conductor of the power sup-
ply cable must be connected to this screw which acts as a earth
connector for the vibrator.
The sheet of wiring diagrams is found inside the terminal board compart-
ment. Use the diagram that has the reference that corresponds to that
indicated on the identification plate (Conn.):
- The Δ connection (fig.5 page 3) applies in case of power supply with the
lower voltage (for example 230V in the case of a vibrator 230/400V).
- The Y connection (fig.5 page 3) applies in case of power supply with the
higher voltage (for example 400V in the case of a vibrator 230/400V).
On customer request the electric vibrator can be equipped with a 26W
anticondensation heater; the heater can be recommended in case of am-
bient temperature lower than –20°C and intermittent duty in high humidity
ambients, to avoid condensation inside the unit. For electrical connection
of the heater see diagram (Fig.6C page 3).
