PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The pylons are a range of adapters used as part of a prosthetic system.
They are used to connect and align the core elements of the device.
INDICATIONS FOR USE
Lower limb absence.

None known.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
– Read the instructions for use before using the device.
– Only use a pylon for a single patient. The pylons are designed and
tested for single patient usage.
– Only use with Össur adapters. The durability of the device cannot
be guaranteed if non-Össur adapters are used.
– If any problems occur with the use of this products, immediately
consult a medical professional.
– If unusual movement or product wear is detected in a structural
part of a device at any time, the patient should be instructed to
immediately discontinue use of the device and consult his/her
clinical specialist.
WEIGHT LIMITS AND ACTIVITY LEVELS
The pylons can be used for all activity levels.

CUTTING AND ASSEMBLY
Shorten the tube to agree with measurements.
CAUTION: Do not damage the tube. If you damage the tube, it can be
difficult to put it into the tube clamp adapter.
1. Clamp the tube with a 30 mm cutting jig or into a tube cutter.
2. Make sure to cut the tube straight with a hacksaw or tube cutter.
3. Fully remove all burrs with a file before you insert the pylon into
a tube clamp adapter.
4. Make sure the tube is fully inserted and fully touches the base of the
tube clamp adapter.
5. Apply Loctite 243 to the set screws. Torque two times to 15 N m to
fasten the set screws.
NOTE: If you use bolts for extreme alignment, also torque two times to
15 N m.
