T-Connector Wiring Kit
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
2. Open the vehicles tailgate and remove each of the tail light housing
assemblies (Fig. 1A) by removing the screws on each housing.
3. Starting on the left (drivers) side of the
vehicle, route the T-Connectors black box and
the connectors with the yellow and red wires
up through the access hole at the rear corner
of the vehicle and out through the tail light
opening (Fig. 1B).
4. Starting on the left (drivers) side, Locate
the wiring harness connectors attached to the
rear of the tail light housings. They will be
similar in design to those on the T-Connector harnes. Disconnect the top
grey connector from the tail light housing by pressing on the connectors
locking tabs and carefully pulling the connector away from the housing.
Insert the T-Connector ends containing the yellow wires between these
seperated ends, ensuring that the locking tabs engage.
Caution : Take care not to damage any locking tabs.
5. Disconnect the center black connector from the tail light assembly and
insert the T-Connector end containing the red wire between these seperated
ends ensuring that the locking tabs engage.
6. Locate a clean accessible mounting location on the vehicle near the
wiring harness ends within reach of the white wire and grounding eyelet and
drill a 3/32" hole.
Caution: Take care not to drill through the body or any exposed
surface.
7. Mount the white wire using the ground screw and eyelet provided.
8. Route the remainder of the T-Connector assembly to the right
(passenger) side of the vehicle and up through the right side tail light
opening.
9. Remove the top grey connector from the passenger side tail light
