elimination of pressure is very important for modules fitted with large compressed air
cylinders, in particular modules 7D and 7H, see Figure 1. First shutting off the supply and
then running a few manual opening/closing cycles effectively eliminates the pressure. See
the respective manuals.
FlexFilter has a low noise level (well below 70 dBA) during normal operation. During filter
cleaning, which normally takes 2–4 seconds every second hour, the resultant noise may
cause nuisance in the immediate vicinity of the dust collector. In a few cases noise-damping
baffles may be required.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Before the collecting bin is removed for emptying, the vacuum unit must be stopped and
the maintenance switch and/or the main switch switched off to ensure the unit can not
start. Otherwise there is a risk of injury from the cone and bin being pressed together by
the vacuum. Note that many installations are fitted with automatic stop/start function.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
An approved protective mask should be used when emptying the dust bin, when changing
filters or whenever exposure to dust may occur.
CAUTION!
Risk of equipment damage.
If the dust collector has been dismantled, ensure that the rubber sealing rings and the steel
retainer rings, keeping the modules together, are correctly re-assembled. A badly fitted
retainer ring could, at worst, cause the dust collector to fall apart.
WARNING!
Risk of personal injury.
Read the Safety section for special modules that may be installed with the dust collector.
Incorrect installation or handling of modules 7D and 7H, see Figure 1, can cause severe
injury or even death.
FlexFilter dust collectors are CE marked. The CE marking is valid only if the safety
instructions in this manual are followed and only when original modules and control units
are installed.
