Presentation

General

The bin for automatic emptying is based on the ordi-
nary collection bin for FlexFilter, but where the bot-
tom has been replaced by a pneumatically operated
hatch. A vacuum valve, TVS 200 DA (does not apply to
FlexPAK), is required to close the pipe to the vacuum
unit before emptying. Emptying can not take place with
a full vacuum in the dust collector.
The high stand for FlexFilter, fig. , (or wall bracket) is
normally used so that a container can be placed under
the collector. Automatic emptying over a conveyor belt
is also possible.
FlexPAK must be placed on a flat, raised foundation
and be bolted to the foundation. A cut-out in the founda-
tion is necessary for AEB, see fig. 0.

The plug in the push-in nipple is removed by pushing
in the ring and pulling the plug straight out. Only
some nipples are to be fitted with 6 mm nylon hose.
Respective diagrams indicate which nipples are to be
fitted with the hose and which are to remain plugged.
In addition to these components, a valve TVS 200 DA
is always needed on the collector's outlet. FlexFilter RF
also requires a shuttle valve (SV) placed on top of the
collector.
NOTE! These components (TVS200DA and the
shuttle valve SV) do not apply to FlexPAK .
AEB

Operational description

This section is important for maintenance personnel.
First identify whether the collector is a Single, Single
RF, Twin, Twin RF or FlexPAK.
If the dust collector is a Single or Twin, then High
Vacuum Starter (HVS) Advanced or High Vacuum
Starter (HVS) Basic controls both filter cleaning and
emptying which occur simultaneously.
If the collector has RF filer cleaning, then cleaning and
emptying are controlled by a High Vacuum Starter
(HVS) Advanced. More about this further on in the
manual.
In a Twin both collectors are exactly the same. If, when
using a Twin, you need to differentiate between the col-
lectors the one, which in the flow direction is closest to
the vacuum unit, is called "A". The other is called "B".
The same applies to the "A-side" and the "B-side" in a
Single RF. These designations are used in the pneuma-
tic diagrams, fig. 6-8. The vacuum valve TVS 200 DA is
always fitted in the outlet of collector "A" and on the "A
side".
In FlexPAK emptying is regulated by the unit's integra-
ted control system.
The emptying function is described with reference to
the diagram in fig. 5. Fig. shows the simplest variant, a
Single, but the function is the same for a Twin. Note that
the emergency stop (c) and the 5/2 valve (d) in reality
are positioned on the receptacle in direct connection
to the compressed air cylinder (e). The throttle valves
(i) are mounted directly in the cylinder's ports. (See fig.
3-4)
The compressed air tap (a) should be /4" in size and
the hose (b) should have a minimum inner diameter of
8 mm (5/6"). The compressed air tap and hose are not
supplied with the AEB.
The emergency stop (c) has two valves in a parallel
assembly to give a sufficiently large air flow.
Fig. 5 shows the normal position when the 5/2 valve (d)
is not activated by HVS. The compressed air leaves the
valve via port 2 and goes partly to the plus port on the
cylinder (e) which keeps the hatch closed. The air also
goes to the plus port on the cylinder (g) on TVS 200 DA,
which keeps the suction pipe to the vacuum unit open.
When HVS gives the signal to the 5/2 valve this rever-
ses and the air comes out to port 4. The compressed
air now goes to three cylinders, (e), (f) and (g) which
do not function simultaneously. The cylinder (g) runs
easiest and TVS 200 DA will close the vacuum pipe
