T-Connector Wiring Kit
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Read instructions thoroughly before beginning.
This vehicles wiring system is negativly switched and
convential troubleshooting methods do not apply. All wiring
must be completed prior to testing.
2. Open the vehicles tailgate and
remove each of the tail light housing
assemblies (Fig. 1A) by removing the two
screws on each housing and carefully
pulling the housing to the rear of the
vehicle at the points specified (Fig 2).
Caution: Prying at points other than
those indicated could cause damage to the tail
light housings.
3. Locate the wiring harness connectors attached to
the rear of the tail light housings. They will be similar
in design to those on the T-Connector harnes.
4. Starting on the left (drivers) side, disconnect the
top grey connector from the tail light housing by
pressing on the connectors locking tab and carefully
pulling the connector away from the housing.
Caution : Take care not to damage any locking tabs.
5. Insert the T-Connector ends containing the yellow wires between
these seperated ends, ensuring that the locking tabs engage.
6. Route the remainder of the T-Connector assembly to the right
(passenger) side of the vehicle, tucking the yellow wire under the
bumper fascia (Fig. 1B).
7. Remove the top grey connector from the passenger side tail light
housing and insert the T-Connector ends with the green wires between
