Remedy
Remove battery, return tool to nearest
STANLEY approved Service Center for
servicing
Clean or renew as necessary (5.3.2)
Replace as necessary (5.3)
Replace OP-Seal on ball screw
Clean or renew jaws as necessary (5.3)
Pull trigger for >1s until LED fl ashes at
regular 1 second interval. Position the
mandrel, pull trigger for >1s to return
the tool to home position.
Ensure assembly of tail jaws is correct
(5.3.2)
Follow instructions to remove mandrel
(reverse of 5.2)

Replace Tail Jaws (5.3)
Refi t ensuring correct orientation
(4.2.3)
Fit correct nose jaws
Set gap to 1.5mm – 3mm (1/16" –
1/8") (5.2)
Clean and oil cursor
Check barrel bore for debris
Renew cursor (4.2.3)
Fit correct mandrel follower spring
Clean nose jaws, apply a conservative
amount of lithium-based grease to
inside contact faces
Check application hole size and
thickness and fastener grip capability
Check as for 'mandrel slip'
Set gap to 1.5mm – 3mm (1/16" –
1/8")
