2. Remove belt from stationary idler and
clutching idler.
3. Remove belt downward from engine pulley.
4. Pull belt slack toward rear of tractor.
Carefully remove belt upwards from
transaxle pulley, bending belt keepers.
5. Remove belt from center span keeper and
pull belt away from tractor.

Belt installation

1. Carefully work new belt down between
transaxle belt keeper onto the input pulley.
2. Slide belt into the center span keeper.
3. Pull belt toward front of tractor and install it
into engine pulley upper groove.
4. Install belt through stationary idler and
clutching idler.
5. Make sure belt is in all pulley grooves and
in side all belt guides and keepers.
6. Install mower (see "To install mower" in this
section of the manual).

Transaxle motion control lever
neutral adjustment
The transaxle shall be in neutral position
whenever motion control lever is in neutral (N)
position. This adjustment has been preset at the
factory, but follow the procedure below if
adjustment should be necessary.
1. Check whether transaxle in neutral (N)
2. Loosen adjustment bolt in front of the right
3. Place motion control lever in neutral (N)
4. Tighten adjustment bolt securely.

To adjust steering wheel alignment

If steering wheel crossbars are not horizontal
(left to right) when wheels are positioned
straight forward, remove steering wheel and
reassemble with crossbars in horizontal
position. Fix steering wheel securely.
