Intended use
The electric power tool is a stationary unit
designed for sawing blocks of wood, plastic
or aluminium.
Other materials, in particular steel, con-
crete and mineral materials, must not be
processed.
Aluminium must only be sawed with the
special saw blades from Festool designed
for this purpose.

4.1
General safety instructions
Before using the machine, care-
fully read all of the attached safety
instructions and the Operating In-
structions.
• Keep all of the attached documents and
pass on the documentation if the machine
changes ownership.
• Never allow children to use the machine.
• Before using the machine, make yourself
suffi ciently familiar with the application,
setting and operation of the machine.
4.2
Machine-related safety
instructions
Safety precautions
• Always use original Festool tools (in ac-
cordance with EN 847-1).
• Use only correctly sharpened tools without
damage or deformation. The maximum
rotational speed specifi ed on the tool must
be observed.
• Select the saw blade suitable for the ma-
terial you wish to work on.
• Do not use saw blades made of high-speed
steel.
• Only use spacers and spindle rings speci-
fi ed by Festool.
• Ensure the work area has adequate light-
ing.
• Ensure that the machine is on a fi rm base.
Place the machine on a fl at fl oor or secure
the machine fi rmly on a bench or table.
