noise) were measured in accordance with
the test conditions stipulated in EN 61029
and are intended for machine comparisons.
They are also used for making preliminary
estimates regarding vibration and noise
loads during operation.
The emission values specifi ed refer to the
main applications for which the power tool
is used. If the electric power tool is used
for other applications, with other tools or is
not maintained suffi ciently prior to opera-
tion, however, the vibration and noise load
may be higher when the tool is used. Take
into account any machine idling times and
downtimes to estimate these values more
accurately for a specifi ed time period. This
may signifi cantly reduce the load during the
machine operating period.

Settings

Always pull the mains plug out of
the socket before any type of work
on the machine.
6.1
Transport
Never carry or lift the machine by
the movable pivot guard (1.7).
For transportation, the saw unit should
be locked with the transport safety device
(1.1) pushed down and the pivot guard
(1.7) closed.
Lift and carry the machine by the hand grip
(1.6) or by the saw table (1.8).
6.2

Mounting the machine

Place the machine on an even fl oor or use
screw clamps (illustration 1) to secure
the machine on a level, stable base (e.g.
bench). The machine must not move while
work is in progress.
6.3

Changing tools

Risk of accidents
• Actuate the spindle lock only after the saw
blade has come to rest.
• The saw blade becomes very hot during
operation; do not touch it before it has
cooled down.
• Always wear protective gloves during tool
change due to the risk of injury from the
sharp tool cutters.
– Press the spindle lock (2.1).
– Open the screw (2.3) with the enclosed
hexagon wrench (left-hand thread!).
– Remove the clamping fl ange (2.4).
– Swivel the pivot guard (2.6) all the way
back.
– Remove the saw blade.
– Clean all parts before installing them (saw
blade, fl anges, screw).
– Place the saw blade on the tool spindle.
Ensure that the directions of rotation
of the saw blade (2.5) and machine
(2.2) correspond.
– Place the clamping fl ange (2.4) on the tool
spindle, ensuring that there is a positive
fi t and the position is correct.
– Tighten the screw (2.3); tightening torque
approx. 20 Nm.
– Check whether the saw blade rotates
freely before switching on the machine.
6.4

Dust extraction

Harmful/toxic dusts can be produced
during your work (e.g. lead-contain-
ing paint, some types of wood and
metal). Contact with these dusts,
especially inhaling them, can repre-
sent a hazard for operating person-
nel or persons in the vicinity.
• Comply with the safety regulations that
apply in your country.
• Connect the electric power tool to a suit-
able extraction system.
• To protect your health, wear a P2 protec-
tive mask.
Before initial use of the machine, secure
the enclosed chip catcher (8.1) by sliding
it onto the mount (8.2).
