Dell Storage Initialization Wizard
When using the Dell Storage Initialization Wizard, you require the IP
addresses that will be used to configure the network interfaces, and the
domain name that will be used (if you are joining a domain). The domain
name can be pre-populated by the network administrator.
You must configure your PowerVault MD3000 storage array before you
access the Microsoft consoles. The PowerVault NX1950 storage solution is
pre-configured from Dell with the Dell Storage Initialization Wizard that
walks you through these configuration steps to ensure that the PowerVault
MD3000 storage array is configured correctly.
After the PowerVault MD3000 storage array is configured, the hosts that
are connected are detected and you are prompted to name the storage array.
In addition to these tasks, there are PowerVault MD3000 VDS requirements
that are pre-configured by the Dell Storage Initialization Wizard.
When prompted, provide the name that you choose for the
PowerVault MD3000 storage array.
After configuring the PowerVault MD3000 storage array, the Dell Storage
Initialization Wizard exits and opens the PowerVault NX1950 Initial
Configuration Tasks Wizard automatically.
If you have changed any of properties in the list below, run the
Dell Storage Initialization Wizard by clicking the Run Dell Storage
