Restoring the Storage Array Software

After installing the operating system, the Dell Storage Initialization
wizard is installed on your system and runs automatically on every system
reboot. Until the software required to support the storage array is installed
on your system, the following message appears at start-up:
The Storage Initialization Wizard did not detect
your PowerVault storage subsystem. Ensure that all
cables are connected
subsystems are powered up. See the Microsoft
Windows Unified Data Storage Server 2003 Deployment
Guide for further information on troubleshooting
array detection and initialization issues.
After you have installed the operating system using Dell OpenManage
Server Assistant, the following components are installed:
• Operating system
• Dell Storage Initialization Wizard
• Required drivers
Restore the software required to support the storage arrays connected to
the PowerVault NX1950 storage systems. The software requirements vary
depending on the solution that is purchased. Refer to Table 1-1 for the
requirements.
