Dosing mode
By selecting the appropriate [Dosing mode] ( / / / ), it is possible to extend the
suction duration per stroke (suction stroke duration) and thus adjust the metering to high
product viscosities or challenging suction conditions.
This extension of the suction stroke duration simultaneously results in a reduction in the
maximum metering capacity (see tables below).
Dosing mode
Fig. 16: Time distribution (t) of suction (s) and metering stroke (p) with dosing mode S-standard, M-medium and L-low.
The pump must be recalibrated when switching between dosing modes. The
calibration symbol C! appears in the display.
Once automatic [calibration] has been performed correctly, the C! symbol in
the operating level display is hidden once more.
The table values for the max. metering frequency (max. metering capacity) are
dependent on the pump size and calibration.
The details about the suction stroke and metering stroke times are theoretical
values. They may vary due to calibration tolerances, suction tube lengths,
back-pressure, etc.
