2. SECURITY MEASURES
So as to avoid the incorrect manipulation of this
machine, read all the instruction manual prior to using
the machine. All the information contained in this
manual is relevant for your own personal security and
for the security of other people, animals and other
objects in the vicinity. If you have any doubts on the
information included in this manual, please ask a
professional or go back to your nearest point of sale.
2.1 END USERS
This machine has been designed to be used by
grown ups who have read and fully understood the
instruction manual.
ATTENTION: Do not allow underage people to
use the machine.
ATTENTION: Do not allow people who have not
fully understood the manual to use the machine.
Before using the machine, familiarise yourself with
all the controls and security features and how these
function. If you are not an expert user, we highly
recommend that you first use the machine carrying
out some light work and if possible in front of an
experienced end user.
ATTENTION: Only lend this machine to people
who are familiarised with this type of machine and
have used similar machines before. When lending
the machine, please also pass on the instruction
manual so that this new end user can read it fully
and carefully. This machine is dangerous if not used
by trained hands.
2.2. PERSONAL SECURITY
Be alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when using this machine.
Do not use this machine when you are tired or
under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
A moment of distraction when using this machine can
cause severe personal damage.
Avoid an accidental start up of the machine. Make
sure that the switch is in the open position before
connecting to the electrical mains, before picking
the machine up or transporting the machine.
Transporting electrical machines with your finger on
the switch or plugging into the mains with the switch
in the close position can put your security at risk and
cause accidents.
Remove all hand tools from the working area prior
to starting the machine. Any tools in the working area
can come into contact with the machine and can be
propelled, causing personal injuries.
Do not overlean. Maintain your feet well placed on
the floor and maintain your equilibrium at all times.
Maintain always your feet on the floor and only use
the machine when your feet are on a fixed surface,
well secured and levelled. Slippery surfaces or
unstable surfaces like ladders can cause a loss in your
equilibrium and loss of control of the machine.
Dress adequately. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Maintain your hair, clothes and gloves
away from machine parts in movement. Loose
clothing, jewellery or long hair can be caught by the
machine parts in movement.
Always use security equipment. Always use eye
goggles. The use of adequate security equipment
such as anti dust masks, security gloves, non slippery
boots, helmet, ear protectors and eye goggles will
reduce personal damages. We highly recommend a
supplementary equipment to protect head, hands, legs
and feet. An adequate clothing will reduce risk of body
damage caused by pieces propelled from the machine
and through accidental contact with the chain of the
