hand saw for cutting tree branches or
logs.
B
Danger! Risk of electric
shock!
Do not expose device to rain. Do not
operate device in damp or wet envi-
ronment.
Prevent body contact with earthed ob-
jects such as radiators, pipes, cook-
ing stoves, refrigerators when operat-
ing this machine.
Do not use the power cable for pur-
poses it is not intended for.
Regularly check the connection line of
the electric tool and have it replaced
by an approved professional if it is
damaged.
Regularly check the extension lines
and replace them if damaged.
A
Risk of injury by moving
parts!
Do not operate the tool without in-
stalled guards.
Always keep sufficient distance to the
saw blade. Use suitable feeding aids
if necessary. Keep sufficient distance
to driven components when operating
the machine.
Wait for the saw blade to come to a
complete stop before removing cut-
outs, waste wood etc. from the work
area.
Cut only stock of dimensions that al-
low for safe and secure holding while
cutting.
Use the fastening devices or a vice in
order to secure the workpiece. This is
safer than holding it by hand.
Do not attempt to stop the saw blade
by pushing the workpiece against its
side.
Before setting, maintaining or repair-
ing the device pull the plug out of the
socket.
When turning ON the machine (e.g.
after servicing) ensure that no tools or
loose parts are left on or in the ma-
chine.
Unplug the tool when not in use.
Unused electric tools should be
stored in a dry, high or locked place
outside the range of children.
A
Cutting hazard, even with the
cutting tool at standstill!
Wear gloves when changing cutting
tools.
Store saw blades in such a manner
that nobody can get hurt.
A
Risk of sawhead kickback (the
saw blade is caught in the workpiece
and the sawhead kicked up all of a
sudden)!
Select a saw blade suitable for the re-
spective material.
Hold the handle firmly. When the saw
blade enters the work piece, the kick-
back risk is particularly high.
Cut thin or thin-walled workpieces
only with fine-toothed saw blades.
Always use sharp saw blades. Re-
place blunt saw blades at once. In-
creased risk of kickback when a blunt
tooth gets caught by the workpiece's
surface.
Do not jam work pieces.
Avoid lateral pressure on the saw
blade when grooving – use a stock
clamp.
If in doubt, check workpiece for inlu-
sion of foreign matter (e.g. nails or
screws).
Never cut several workpieces at the
same time – and also no bundles
containing several individual pieces.
Risk of personal injury if individual
pieces are caught by the saw blade
uncontrolled.
c
Drawing-in/trapping hazard!
Wear suitable clothes. Be careful that
no part of your body or your clothing
can be caught and pulled into the de-
vice by rotating components (wear no
neckties, no gloves, no clothing with
loose-fitting sleeves; contain long hair
with a hairnet).
Never saw any workpieces connected
with ropes, strings, bands, cables or
wires or containing such materials.
A
Hazard generated by insuffi-
cient personal protection gear!
Use a hearing protection in order to
avoid becoming deaf.
Wear safety goggles.
Wear dust mask.
Wear suitable work clothes.
Wear non-slip shoes.
Use a breathing mask when doing
work involving dust emission.
Use gloves when handling saw
blades and rough tools. Carry saw
blades in a container.
A
Risk of injury by inhaled wood
dust!
Some types of wood dust (e.g. oak,
beech and ash) may cause cancer
when inhaled. Work only with a suita-
ble dust extractor attached to the
saw. Make sure that it is connected
and used correctly. The dust collector
must comply with the specifications
stated in the Technical Specifications.
Make sure that as little as possible
wood dust can escape into the envi-
ronment:
– remove wood dust deposit in the
work area (do not blow away!);
– fix any leakages on the dust col-
lector;
– ensure good ventilation.
ENGLISH
A
Hazard caused by modifica-
tion of the machine or use of parts
not tested and approved by the man-
ufacturer!
Strictly follow these instructions when
assembling the device.
Use of other tools and accessories
can entail danger of personal injury.
Use only parts approved by the man-
ufacturer. This applies especially for:
– saw blades (see 'Available Acces-
sories');
– safety devices (see spare parts
list).
Do not change any parts.
Make sure that the speed indicated
on the saw blade is at least as fast as
the speed inicated on the saw.
Use only distance disks and spindler-
ings suitable for the purpose indicated
by the manufacturer.
A
Hazard generated by tool de-
fects!
Keep the machine and accessories in
good repair. Keep the cutting tools
sharp and clean in order to be able to
work better and more securely. Ad-
here to the information regarding lu-
brication and exchange of tools.
Prior to any use check the machine
for possible damage: before operating
the machine all safety devices, pro-
tective guards or slightly damaged
parts need to be checked for proper
function as specified. Check to see
that all moving parts work properly
and do not jam. Make sure that all
parts and accessories are properly in-
stalled and safely secured to ensure
the safe and trouble-free operation of
the machine.
Do not use damaged or warped saw
blades.
Damaged protective devices or com-
ponents must be repaired or replaced
expertly by an approved workshop
using original spare parts; otherwise
accidents may occur. Do not operate
tool if the switch cannot be turned ON
or OFF.
Keep handles free of oil and grease.
Do not use the cable to pull the plug
out of the socket. Protect the cable
against heat, oil and sharp edges.
f
Risk of injury by noise!
Wear hearing protection.
For reasons of noise protection do not
use warped saw blades. A warped
blade is exiting vibrations to an espe-
cially large extent, e which means
noise.
D
Laser radiation hazard!
Laser beams can cause serious eye in-
juries. Never look into the laser outlet.
