STARTING UP

Fill the appliance
• Open the hot water tap on the distribution,
• Open the cold water tap located on the safety unit, ensuring that
the unit's drain valve is in the closed position,
• Once the water is flowing to the hot water valves and there is no
noise in the pipes, turn off the valves: your appliance is full.
WARNING The unit must never be switched on when it is empty, as
this risks damaging its electrical components (if applicable).
Checking correct operation
• During heating, the water drips from the drain hole
in the safety unit (this hole must be connected to the main
drain). This is normal,
• Check the connection sealing,
• Correct sealing of gaskets, flange and electrical components
(if applicable). If necessary, retighten the bolts,
• Check that the hydraulic components are operating correctly by
placing the safety unit from the drainage position to the off
position and vice-versa in order to remove any waste.
• After

of all the gaskets.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

THE CURRENT MUST BE CUT BEFORE ANY OPERATION IS CARRIED
OUT ON THE APPLIANCE.
All operations must be carried out by a qualified technician.

DRAINING

• Shut off the cold water inlet.
• Open the drain valve on the safety unit
• Open the hot water valve to let air in.

CLEANING

Tocarry out this operation, the water heater must first be emptied (the
drain pipe placed at the tank's lowest point allows complete drai- ning.

ACCESSORIES

Additional resistor kit
CKZ and CK1 tanks can be fitted with a kit comprising a shielded
electrical resistor + thermostat, depending on the capacity (see
Appendx B). The resistor is fitted to a 2 connection above the lower
exchanger.
Only resistors recommended by the manufacturer may be fitted to
this product.
These electrical resistor kits must be installed in accordance with the
instructions given in the manual supplied with the kits.
