Use of liquid detergent
If the product contains a liquid detergent dispenser:
• Insert the liquid detergent dispenser into compartment
• If the liquid detergent has become less fluid, dilute it with water before inserting it in the
liquid detergent dispenser.
If the unit is equipped with a liquid detergent compartment:
• If you are using a liquid detergent, pull the insert towards you. The lowered part then acts
as a barrier for the liquid detergent.
• If necessary, clean the insert with water while it is still in place or by removing it.
• If you are using washing powder, the insert must be fixed in the upper position.
If the product does not contain a liquid detergent dispenser:
• Avoid using liquid detergent for prewashing when using a prewash programme.
• Liquid detergent stains your clothes when used with the Delay function.
If you intend to use the Delay function, do not use liquid detergent.

Use of gel and tablet detergent
• If you are using liquid gel detergent and your machine does not have a special liquid
detergent dispenser, pour the gel detergent into the main detergent compartment during the
first inlet of water. If your machine has a liquid detergent dispenser, pour the detergent into
it before starting the programme.
• If you are using gel detergent that is not fluid or comes in a liquid capsule, put it directly in
the drum before washing
• Put the detergent tablets in the main wash compartment (compartment no.
into the drum before washing.
Use of starch
• Add the liquid, powdered starch, or dye to the fabric softener compartment. Avoid using
both fabric softener and starch in the same wash cycle. Clean the inside of the machine with
a clean, damp cloth after using starch.
Use of descaler
• When necessary, use a suitable descaler, specially designed for use in a washing machines.
Use of whitening products
• Add the whitening product at the beginning of the cycle and select the prewash programme.
Do not put detergent in the pre-wash compartment. You can also select a programme with
extra rinse and add the whitening product while the water from the detergent compartment
is being used in the first rinse stage.
• Avoid mixing whitening product and laundry detergent.
• Use a small amount (about 50 ml) of whitening product and rinse the clothes thoroughly to
avoid skin irritation. Do not place whitening product directly on the laundry and do not use it
on coloured laundry.
• If you wish to use hydrogen peroxide, select a wash programme with a low temperature.
• Oxygen-based whitening products can be combined with certain detergents; however,
if these products are less thick than the detergent, place the detergent in compartment

still absorbing the water, add the whitening product to the same compartment.
