BASE INSTALLATION WITH LATCH
STEP 3: Slide the other end of the LATCH belt
out through the belt path opening on the opposite
side of the base and attach to the vehicle LATCH
lower anchor bar. You will hear it "click". Pull on
the connector to check that it is locked onto the
vehicle lower anchor bar.
STEP 4: Check that LATCH belt is not twisted.
STEP 5: Tighten LATCH belt around base, while
pushing down and back on the base to push
the base onto the seat bight (1) (crease of the
vehicle seat) pull on the free end of the LATCH
belt to tighten the belt (2).

STEP 6: Check that the base is securely installed
and the LATCH belt stays securely adjusted
around the base. Base should not move more
than 1 inch (25 mm) side to side at the belt path.
If the LATCH belt does not stay tightly adjusted
around the base try reinstalling and tightening
the LATCH belt, move to another seating position
in the vehicle or install the base with the vehicle
seat belt.
