Heating Beverages with Steam
The steam that is produced by the device can be used to heat milk, beverages and water for tea.
1. Take the milk frother nozzle (5) off the steam nozzle (6).
2. Follow steps 1. – 6. in the "Preparing Milk Froth" section.
3. Immerse the steam nozzle fully in the vessel containing the beverage that is to be heated.
4. Start the steam process by gradually turning the steam power control (1) to the
position. The hot steam heats the liquid in the vessel.
5. Move the vessel in a circular motion to achieve faster heating.
6. Once the beverage has reached the temperature you want, turn the steam power control
to the
position and pull the vessel down and outwards.
7. Clean the steam nozzle after each use to prevent a blockage (see the "Cleaning and Care"
chapter – "Cleaning the Steam Nozzle").
Empty the drip tray after preparation so that it cannot overfl ow if you prepare another
drink.
8. When you want to exit steam mode, press the fi eld
again.
9. If you no longer wish to use the device, touch the fi eld
device switches to stand-by mode.
If the device is not switched off manually, after 25 minutes it automatically switches to
stand-by mode.
Heating Water
In brewing mode the device can emit hot water, e.g. for tea, through the steam nozzle (6).
1. Fill the water tank (h) (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Filling the Water Tank").
2. Switch on the device by touching the fi eld
fl ash. The device starts the heating process. As soon as all operating fi elds are permanently
lit, the device is preheated.
3. Immerse the steam nozzle (6) fully in a suitable vessel.
Please Note! The device must remain in brewing mode for this function. Do NOT activate
steam mode!
