On-screen operating instructions
Status reporting No Pattern
After starting up the automatic convergence, the projector will start to
calculate and locate 5 horizontal and 5 vertical lines which are used
to divide the screen into 25 windows.
If the projector does not succeed in finding the pattern, it will try for two
times. When the two attempts fail, the projector will quit the process
and display the AUTOCONVERGENCE menu.
The status line in the AUTOCONVERGENCE menu will display the
following message :
Status : No pattern.
When the error occurs, check :
K
if the lens of the camera is correctly focused;
K
if the camera is correctly centered;
K
if the screen size is correctly adjusted.
K
If the blanking is correctly set.
K
if the the ambient light is not too high.
Status reporting Forced break
After starting up the automatic convergence, if unexpected trouble
such as the interruption of source input occurs,
the projector will quit the process and display the
AUTOCONVERGENCE menu on the screen.
The status line in the AUTOCONVERGENCE menu will display the
following message :
Status : Forced break
The possible causes of such an error :
K
the source is disconnected during the convergence: on the
screen a message " source not available " will be displayed and
the projector waits until "the" source is reconnected or selected;
K
switching over to another source during the convergence adjust-
ment: after the source
AUTOCONVERGENCE menu will be displayed with the status
line reporting " Forced break ".

IRIS diagnostics
This option allows a check-up of the IRIS
To start up the 'IRIS 2 Diagnostics' :
K
highlight ' IRIS DIAGNOSTICS' by pushing the control stick
forward or backward;
K
press Enter .
After Enter is pressed, the 'IRIS 2 DIAGNOSTICS' menu will be
displayed and the Tests start instantly.
It includes check-ups on four items :
Interface Test;
Generic Test;
Sync Test;
Ram Test.
After completing each test, the status report will give the test result :
K
pass; or
K
failed plus the error number.
