Separating station
Sequence
1. The conveyor belt motor 1 switches on if a workpiece is detected. The workpiece is transported to the
stopper.
2. The conveyor belt motor 1 is switched off, if the workpiece is detected by the diffuse sensor in front the
stopper.
3. The differentiation of the workpiece takes place by the distance sensor above the stopper.
"Basic body" workpiece is detected, pass through to pickup point on conveyor belt 1
4. The stopper is retracted and the motor for conveyor belt 1 is switched on. The "basic body" workpiece is
transported to the pickup point at the end of conveyor belt 1.
5. Once the "basic body" workpiece has reached the pickup point, the motor for conveyor belt 1 is
switched off. If a downstream station is ready (I6 = 1), the workpiece is transported to it.
"Basic body" workpiece is detected, pass through to conveyor belt 2
4. If conveyor belt 2 is not full (Q1 = 0), the deflector is advanced and the stopper is retracted. The motors
for conveyor belts 1 and 2 are switched on. The "housing" workpiece is transported to the end of
conveyor belt 2.
5. Once the "housing" workpiece has passed the one-way light barrier at the beginning of belt 2, the
stopper is advanced, the deflector is retracted and the motor for conveyor belt 1 is switched off.
6. Once the "housing" workpiece has reached the end of belt 2, the motor for conveyor belt 2 is switched
off.
7. If there are 6 workpieces on conveyor belt 2 (detected by the sensor at the beginning of the belt), signal
lamp Q1 is switched on. The workpieces have to be removed and the station can once again be homed.
Note
If no sensor signal is received within 300 s, the conveyor belt is switched off automatically and the
station is switched to the "error" status (signal lamp Q1 = 1).
