3. TOOL USE & SETUP

3.1 INTENDED USE

The PB2500N tools are designed for installation of STANLEY Engineered Fastening NeoBolt fasteners ONLY.
This tool is a professional power tool. DO NOT let children come into contact with the tool. Supervision is
required when inexperienced operators use this tool.
READ ALL SAFETY WARNINGS AND INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PUTTING TOOL INTO
SERVICE.
ALWAYS wear approved hearing and eye protection at all times when using installation
equipment
WARNING: Never modify the power tool or any part of it. Damage or personal injury could
result.
DO NOT use under wet conditions or in presence of fl ammable liquids or gases.
Electrical Safety
The electric motor has been designed for one voltage only. Always check that the battery pack voltage
corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate. Also make sure that the voltage of your charger corresponds to
that of your mains.
WARNING: Before adjusting tool, always remove the battery pack.
Before Use
• Select relevant size nose equipment and install
• Ensure that the battery is fully charged
• Insert Battery Pack into the tool
• Quickly pull and release the trigger to set the tool to the home position.

3.2 NOSE EQUIPMENT

Mounting the anvil (Fig. 1a).
• Select the correct Anvil (B) for the NeoBolt to be installed. (Ref. accessories manual)
• Remove Nose Housing (C) from tool by loosening the Nose Housing Nut (D).
• Tighten the Anvil (B) into the Nose Housing (C) by turning it clockwise using two 24 mm spanners.
Torque to 7 N-m [62 in-lb]
• Mount the Nose Housing (C) and tighten the Nose Housing Nut (D).
Mounting the Collet and Collet Stop (Fig. 2)
• Loosen the Nose Housing Nut (D) and remove the Nose Housing (C). (Fig. 2a, 2b)
• Install Extension (AA) (required only when using 75mm Extended Nose Housing (C2)). (Fig. 2b)
• Press the Front Clutch (Q) and tighten the Collet (A). Release the Front Clutch (Q). (Fig. 2c)
• Verify grooves at base of Collet (A) are locked into Front Clutch (Q).
• Mount the Nose Housing (C). Tighten the Nose Housing Nut (D).
• Verify Neobolt Pin (CC) fi ts freely inside Collet (A).
