Rice Porridge -
Congee
Ingredients

80g Basmati rice
•
1l water or chicken broth
•
1 pinch of salt
Preparation
1. Thoroughly rinse rice and add to
the glass jug along with the water
and salt. Place the lid on the jug
and the jug onto the base. Select
"Congee", then press the "START/
STOP" button to start the program.
2. Serve Congee:
For hearty congee, simply
serve with sesame oil or soy
sauce, cooked chicken, ginger,
chili peppers, freshly chopped
scallions and fried onions.
Tip! When cooking, substitute
water with chicken broth for more
intense flavor!
3. For sweet congee, simply stir
in some almond milk once the
rice has cooled, mash a banana
and season with maple syrup
and cinnamon to taste. For extra
crunch, crumble a butter biscuit
and fold in.
