Tilt the table (Fig . 17)
1. The table can be tilted from 0 to 45° to the
left and right.
2. Loosen the bevel lock bolt (1/2" - 12 UNC x
7/8 LG) counterclockwise with an adjustable
wrench (not included).
3. Tilt the table to the desired angle, using the
bevel scale as a basic guide.
4. Re-tighten the bevel lock bolt.
5. To return the table to its original position,
loosen the bevel lock bolt. Realign the bevel
scale to the 0° setting.
6. Tighten the bevel lock bolt clockwise with an adjustable wrench.
Square the table to the head
(Fig . 18)
1. Insert a 1/4"-3/8" (6.4 mm-9.5 mm) diameter
drill bit into the chuck and tighten the chuck.
2. Raise the table and lock it about 1" (2.5 cm)
from the tip of the drill bit.
3. Place a combination square (not included)
on the table as shown. The drill bit should be
parallel to the straight edge of the square.
4. If an adjustment is needed, loosen the bevel
lock bolt with an adjustable wrench (not
included).
5. Square the table to the bit by tilting the table.
6. Tighten the bevel lock bolt when square.
Drilling depth (Fig . 19)
1. To stop the drill at a specific depth for
consistent and repetitive drilling, loosen the
depth lock nut on the threaded rod on the left
side of the head assembly.
2. Turn the feed handles until the depth pointer
is aligned to the desired depth on the scale.
3. While holding the feed handles still to ensure
the pointer does not move, rotate the depth
stop nut until it meets the depth stop ring.
4. Keep the stop nut stationary, lower the depth
lock nut to lock the stop nut. The chuck will
stop after traveling downward to the distance
selected.
Note: All the necessary adjustments for the working of your drill press have been done at the
factory. Please do not modify them. However, because of normal wear and tear of your tool,
some readjustments might be necessary.
