When connecting the device, please follow the instructions in the fol-
lowing order:

Positioning
Always position the CANNME7 in such a place that the skipper has a
good view of the panel.

Mounting
Mount the CANNME7 in a flat
plate (4.5-12 mm).
Make a hole with the right dimen-
sions and mount the screen using
the 4 nuts and bolts provided. Use
the drilling template provided
with the product (see Safety Infor-
mation/Quick start guide).
Make sure that packaging (P) is
not damaged.
3 3 1 Display rotation
The CANNME7 can only be mounted horizontally. The image can be
rotated if necessary (0° or 180°), see section 5.2.

Connecting
Connect the CANNME7 to the NMEA2000 CAN bus system. Use the
M12 NMEA2000 connector on the back of the device for this. See
page
112
for a detailed connection diagram.

User interface
The CANNME7 is a multi-touch device, the controls of which are simi-
lar to those of a modern smartphone.
- Tap the screen to select a menu or item, start editing or to select
or deselect a checkbox option.
- Scroll through a list of available options without activating an op-
tion or flick to scroll through lists quickly.
- Keep an item pressed to obtain information about the relevant
part.
- Keep a point on the screen pressed and drag the map to the de-
sired position.
- With two fingers on the screen, make a pinching movement to
zoom out or spread to zoom in.
4 1 1 Keyboard input
When it is necessary to input items using the keyboard, a keyboard
is displayed. To the top left of the text input a red X icon is displayed,
and to the top right of the input a blue tick is displayed.
Press the UP arrow to switch to capital letters. Activate CAPS LOCK by
pressing the UP arrow twice.

As soon as you have finished inputting text, press the red X icon to
cancel editing and to close without saving the changes. Press ENTER
or on the blue tick to confirm the changes and to close editing mode.
4 1 2 Scroll option
The scroll option is used when a value needs to be entered.

Scroll through the list of values or flick to scroll through the list quick-
ly. Press the required value to stop scrolling. Press the blue tick to
confirm the input and to leave editing mode or on the red X icon to
cancel editing without saving the changes.
4 1 3 Slider
The slider is used when it isn't necessary to input an exact value. The
slider is used to input the brightness of the screen or to enter a cer-
tain level of detail.
Press the dot and drag it to apply the desired change.
4 1 4 Checkbox
The checkbox is used to select or deselect an option.
Press the dot and drag it to the desired position or tap the checkbox
to select or deselect it.

Three main screens are available: the dashboard, map screen and the
start screen (@ Quick Access).
4 2 1 Dashboard
The dashboard contains two screen sets. One shows the important
parameters, the other the details of the battery bank.
