Problem
PD-Tip piston cannot be
locked after the PD-Tip has
been inserted.
Undefined dispensing vol-
ume
Air bubble under the PD-
Tip piston increasing in
size.
A and/or CV exceed toler-
ances.
PD-Tip cannot be decou-
pled after emptying com-
pletely.

Possible cause
Filling/locking lever is not
pushed down to bottom position
and is not swung out.
The stroke setting dial is not
properly engaged.
PD-Tip is leaking.
PD-Tip is leaking.
Dispenser tips are difficult to
move.
Dispensing lever has not been
pressed completely and with
even pressure.
The first dispensing step was not
discarded.
The PD-Tip has been inserted in-
correctly.
Corrective action
First press the ejector button and
remove the PD-Tip, then push the
filling/locking lever all the way
down and swing it out com-
pletely.
Ensure that the stroke setting dial
is securely locked into place.
Replace PD-Tip.
Replace PD-Tip.
Replace PD-Tip or use other more
pliant dispenser tips.
Press the dispensing lever with
even pressure to the stop posi-
tion.
Discard the first dispensing step.
Press the ejector button and then
push the filling/locking lever all
the way down and swing it out.
