10. Care and storage
Risk of injuries from components coming loose or leaking
material.
If cleaning work is performed while still connected to the compressed air
circuit, components can unexpectedly work loose and material can leak.
→ Disconnect the automatic gun from the compressed air circuit and the
material supply before all kinds of cleaning work.
Careful handling together with constant care of the product is necessary
to ensure that the automatic gun functions properly.
■ Clean the automatic gun thoroughly every time after it has been used
and every time before changing the material, and do a function and leak
test.
■ After cleaning, dry the complete automatic gun with clean compressed
air.
■ Store the automatic gun in a dry place.
Damage from unsuitable cleaning agents
The automatic gun can be damaged if cleaned with aggressive cleaning
agents.
→ Do not use aggressive cleaning agents.
→ Use neutral cleaning agents with a pH of 6–8.
→ Do not use acids, caustic solutions, bases, paint strippers, unsuitable
regenerates or other aggressive cleaning agents.
Damage from incorrect cleaning
Incorrect cleaning can damage the automatic gun
(risk of corrosion).
→ Do not place the automatic gun in solvent or cleaning agent.
→ Only use the SATA cleaning brushes.
→ Do not clean the automatic gun in an ultrasonic cleaning machine.
→ Only use washing machines recommended by SATA and take the au-
tomatic gun out of the washing machine at the end of the washing cycle.
