3.1.1 FRONT EQUIPMENT
1) The tractor must be equipped with a frontal, 3-point lifting
linkage onto which the triangular fixing is to be fitted. (Fig.
6).
2) Lubricate the triangle guides with grease to make coupling
easier.
3) Bring the tractor to the equipment; using the lift, move the
quick connect triangle until it is vertically above the coupling
triangle of the equipment (Fig. 7).
4) Before raising the quick-hooking triangle to hook it to the
machinery, make sure that there is not, and will not be, any
interference between the mechanical parts of the two
machines.
5) Raise the hooking triangle until the two parts are perfectly
joined along the guides of the triangle frame, with the
insertion of the sprung joint-pin. (A Fig. 7).
6) Slip out the parking feet.
7) Lower the lift and place the combined equipment in an
operating position. Check that all the sowing parts oscillate
freely, including the drive wheels and the seed-covering
harrow. 5) Check that the equipment is in the correct
position, perpendicular to the ground, adjusting the third
point of the equipment, if required (B fig. 7).
8) The blower drive may be oleo-dynamic or mechanical. In the
latter case the tractor should be equipped with a 1000 rpm
frontal power take-off.
Connect the Cardan shaft and make sure that it is perfectly
blocked on the power take-off. Check that the guard turns
freely and fix it with the chain provided.
ATTENTION
The tractor power take-off must turn in an anti-clockwise
direction, (looking at the end of the power take-off from
the front).
9) Raise the front machinery and remove the feet. In order to
guarantee the rotation of the transmission wheel, adjust
the working height of the machinery from the ground (45 –
55 cm Fig. 8). This distance must remain constant during
operation.
ATTENTION
If this height is not observed, the transmission wheel could lose
its grip and the lower part of the machinery could be damaged
by clods, boulders and stubble, etc.
3.1.2 ADAPTING THE CARDAN SHAFT
The Cardan shaft, supplied with the machine, is of standard
length. It might, therefore, be necessary to adapt the Cardan
shaft. Should this be the case, before proceeding, consult the
Manufacturer.
-
When the Cardan shaft is withdrawn to the end of its
stroke, the two pipes should ovelap by at least 15 cm
(A Fig. 9). When it is inserted all the way, the minimum
admissible play is 4 cm (B Fig. 9).
-
When using the equipment on another tractor, check
that conditions are as stated above and check that
the guards completely cover the rotating parts of the
Cardan shaft.
For transportation of the equipment, always follow the
Manu-facturer's instructions.
